About Me
I was born, raised, and still reside in Central Illinois. I'm a passionate writer skilled in informative coverage with the necessary context. Words have extraordinary power, and I'm determined to use mine to inform and empower people.
In November 2024 I was elected to serve on my local Township board and have strived in my time as Trustee to encourage further community service. Then, in 2026 I was elected to serve as a Precinct Committeeperson with Cumberland County Democrats and have advocated for increased community involvement. I am passionate about community engagement and information access, and dedicated to being a helpful and informative voice.
In April 2025 I joined GovTrack as a part-time staff writer on their new White House Tracker newsletter. This experience has provided an inside look at, and understanding of the condition within, our federal political landscape.
My long-term goal is to leave my [soul-sucking] career in banking for one where I can use my skills as a writer to inform, entertain, and empower readers about important issues.
